Beautiful deep crimson flowers smother this Broom in early summer marking it out as a must have addition for any garden. Cytisus 'Boskoop Ruby' is an easy to grow, compact shrub which will tolerate full sun. Requiring little maintenance it is also suitable for beginner gardeners, returning every year with its dazzling display of colour! Height: 150cm (59"). Spread 150cm (59").

Plant Broom into garden borders in fertile, well drained garden soil, in full shade Cytisus is a very useful shrub, which can also tolerate poor soils, or planting onto sloping ground.
More Info Broom should be trimmed back during May, after plants have flowered. You can also rejuvenate Broom plants over a 3 year period by pruning out a third of the branches each year, again after flowering.
