Now is the time to enjoy all the hard work you've put into your garden this year. Your garden will be at its best this month, but there are still a few jobs to do, including sowing summer vegetables - there's still time! Radishes, lettuces, carrots and sprouting seeds can all be sown now and harvested within just a few weeks (or even days if you're growing sprouting seeds!)
July is the ideal time to start thinking about what you'd like to grow in your garden over the next few months. Visit gardens in your area to gather ideas and do a bit of research to find out what's suitable for growing in cooler weather. Winterflowering pansies and violas are ideal - you can sow them now and harden them off and plant them out from September onwards.
If you do, you're probably thinking about your spring sowings. Click here for some great ideas of what to sow in early spring.

Rather than buying plastic pots, the paper potter enables you to make your own pots out of old newspapers. You simply fill them with compost, sow one seed per pot and when the seedlings are ready to plant out, you can transplant them straight into the garden in their bio-degradable pots.
