Description

The finest, smooth, white-skinned and fleshed carrot, with a crunchy but juicy flavour of similar sweetness to a standard maincrop orange variety. Best grown as a maincrop, for long cylindrical roots, delicious in winter stews, soups or eaten raw.

Sowing Instructions

Sow thinly, 1cm (1/2in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart. Thin seedlings to 5cm (2in) apart when large enough to handle, to reduce risk of carrot root fly attack. Keep well watered for best quality roots. Keep any exposed crowns of carrots covered with soil to avoid them going green.
