Phaseolus coccineus. The bushy, dwarf plants of Dwarf Bean Bellini produce masses of red flowers which look stunning in a container, or direct outside, followed by short succulent beans. Pick regularly for a long season of harvest.
Sow seeds from April to July. Sow seeds thinly direct outside or in containers, 3cm (1in) deep in rows 45cm (18in) apart and 20cm (8in) between plants. Ideal space sow seeds in a bucket-sized container.
As this variety is dwarf it requires no staking, making it easier to grow in large containers on a sunny patio.
Keep well watered during dry weather. Pick regularly for a long season of harvest.
