Description

Bumper crops of very long straight, slender pods. Runner Bean Enorma produces beans with a fine texture and first class flavour. Pods grow up to 50cm in length.

Sowing Instructions

May to July outdoors, directly into rich, well prepared soil in a sunny spot. Provide support for climbing habit, either a row or wigwam of 180cm canes or netting, sow 2 seeds against each cane, 4cm deep. Can also be sown individually in small pots or cells under glass at 18-20C from mid April to transplant outdoors once all risk of frost has passed.

Growing Instructions

Keep watered, particularly once flowering commences, adding a mulch during hottest, dry periods.

Aftercare

Pick pods regularly whilst young for heaviest yields and to extend the season.

Kitchen Notes

Fine texture and first class flavour. Slice finely and cook lightly to retain flavour.
