We grew these for the first time this year as recommended by a friend, the seeds all germinated and from the word go were better, healthier plants than the other tomatoes we grew, they have been fruiting well with tasty colourful tomatoes for weeks now. Highly recommended.

Come on Sungold - I cannot wait!
By Jean Turner 21-04-2011
I have been growing Sungold tomatoes in the greenhouse since they first appeared and each year I long for harvesting time. They have the most wonderful flavour and appearance. No problems and 100% germination each time with Thompson & Morgan seeds. So reliable I always sow 1 seed per pot and am never disappointed. So long as I am able I doubt I shall ever stop growing Sungold tomatoes.

Sowing Instructions

For greenhouse culture sow seeds late winter to early spring 1.5mm (1/16in) deep. Germination usually takes 6-14 days at 24-27C (75-80F).

Growing Instructions

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots and later plant out into growbags, pots etc. 45-60cm (18-24in) apart. Outside, sow early spring and grow as above. When 20cm (8in) tall gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out 38-45cm (15-18in) apart 75cm (30in) between rows in a warm sheltered sunny spot in moist, fertile well drained soil and keep well staked.

Aftercare

Remove side shoots as they appear and restrict the plant to one main stem. Outdoor plants remove growing tip late summer to hasten ripening.
