Description

A vibrant flower colour medley of red, white and pink, to give a spectacular display, quality beans and a long picking period all summer. Runner Bean Summer Medley is ideal for adding colour to your vegetable or flower garden, or in containers on the patio.

Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds mid April indoors for transplanting. Sow seeds late April to late June outdoors, in 7.5cm (3 inch) pots at 18-20C (64-68F), 4cm (1½ inches) deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which takes 7-10 days.

Growing Instructions

Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 7-10 days before planting out after all risk of frost, against support such as canes or netting. Hoe regularly and keep plants well watered. Mulch during dry periods. Can also be sown direct outdoors once the soil has warmed, 15cm (6 inches) apart, 5cm (2 inches) deep and in rows 45cm (18 inches) apart. Do not be tempted to sow too early.

Aftercare

Prefers well drained, moist, rich soil. Harvest July to October.
