This is probably one of the best Pansy mixes ever made! The mound forming plants with flowers held just above the foliage are neat and compact, and the full mixture of colourful faces is a delight for the gardener. Stunning colour range suitable for containers and bedding.
Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. For more details about edible flowers click here.
Sow February to March or June to September. Germinate at 15-20C (60-68F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Apply a fine sprinkling of vermiculite, just covering the seed. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-15 days. Take care not to provide too high a temperature, as this can prevent germination.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow on for 10-15 days before planting out 23cm (9in) apart. Overwinter summer sowings in a coldframe and plant out the following spring.
Prefers a moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi shade.
