Top quality, smooth-skinned, round roots with dark red skin and flesh with a small taproot, ideal for growing as baby beets. Delicious in summer salads or use the young leaves as an alternative to spinach. Beetroot Pablo F1 stands and stores well without going woody.
Sow seeds March to July thinly, 1cm (½in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart.
Thin seedlings to about 2cm (1in) for 'baby beets' or to 5-7cm (2-3in) for larger roots Use the thinnings in salads.
Keep well watered during dry weather.
Harvesting Note: Roots can be lifted in late Autumn, tops twisted off, and stored in boxes of dry sand or peat in a frost free shed or garage.
