Despite this genus dating back to the 18th Century, named after Professor Federica Sanvitali, it is seldom seen in summer gardens.
Blooming over a long period, it is perfect for containers, baskets and the Flower PouchT. Its trailing habit offers a profusion of semi-double orange flowers with dark centres.

Sowing Time: Febuary to April. Sow onto moist compost, and lightly cover seed with vermiculite. Place into a propagator at 18-20C (65-70F).Germinatoin takes 14-21 days. Sowing Depth: 1.5mm (1/16in). After sowing, keep moist, but not waterlogged until seedlings appear.
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 3in (7.5cm) pots. Grow on in glasshouse at 60F (15C). Gradually harden off plants and plant out when all risk of frost has passed. Ideal for pots and hanging baskets .
