Description

A sweet tasting Iceberg lettuce with dense. crunchy hearts. Iceberg Lettuce Milunal has exceptional standing ability through hot summer conditions. Full Bremia NL 1-16 resistance.

Iceberg Lettuce Milunal has been bred to give increased Hybrid vigour, garden performance and flavour, thus increasing your harvest. Due to their wide ranging pest and disease resistance, there will be no need for the use of chemicals, making them ideal for organic gardeners.

Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds thinly from April to August at two week intervals 6mm (¼in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart. A moist, well drained fertile soil which has plenty of compost dug in the previous autumn is best. In very hot weather it's best to water the soil before sowing, let it drain and sow in the early afternoon. An early spring sowing under cloches will provide a really early crop or alternatively sow indoors in March/April, transplant into trays, harden off and plant out after all risk of frost has gone.

Growing Instructions

Thin out gradually to 25-30cm (10-12in) apart.

Aftercare

Water well until established. Harvest when the head feels firm when gently pressed. The heads keep well in a fridge if they are wrapped in polythene film.
