Sow February to June, or indoors out of season. Sow seed on the surface of free draining sowing mix and cover with about 6mm (žin) of sowing mix. Place in a propagator at 20-25C (68-77F) until germination, about 14-21 days.
Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots and maintain temperature at 15C (60F). Plant into containers, pots on the windowsill, or acclimatise plants for a few days if planting outdoors in a sunny, fertile garden once frost risk has passed. Allow 25cm (10in) between plants.
