Fabulous!
By Samantha Roberts 15-11-2010
I grew these for 2010 and they really were great. I was really pleased with them. They grew into bushy plants that were just right for bedding and had a nice range of colours. The flowers did last well even when it rained and I shall be buying more for next year. Recommended.
Sow March to April. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of between 21-25C (70-75F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 7-21 days.
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart.
For best results, provide any ordinary, well-drained soil in full sun.
