Attractive, large fully double blooms in the deepest velvety blue, almost look black when shimmering in the sunshine. The flowers have an added bonus of quickly recovering after a shower of rain.
Their cascading habit makes them ideal as groundcover or tumbling over the sides of containers or baskets.

Sowing time: February to April
Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Lightly cover the seed with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a temperature of between 21-25C (70-75F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 10-21 days.
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays.
Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart, or plant into baskets and containers. For best results, provide a light, well-drained soil in full sun.
