The Winter Warmer Collection comprises one packet each of Brussels Sprout Bedford Fillbasket and Leek Oarsman F1 hybrid.
Brussels Sprout Bedford Fillbasket
A Brussels Sprout of distinction. Often producing the largest, most solid sprouts and the heaviest yields, and a continuous crop from early autumn to Christmas.
Leek Oarsman
A superb garden variety. Good early vigour, bulking up quickly, with dark, erect foliage and uniform pure white, long stems with no sign of bulbing. Mid-season maturity with very good rust and bolting tolerance, keeping in good condition over a long period until required for the kitchen.
Brussels Sprout Bedford Fillbasket
Sow seeds very thinly during early spring in a well prepared seed bed in drills 1cm (½in) deep spaced 30cm(12in) apart.
Leek Oarsman
Sow seeds (pips) 3mm (1/8in) deep in good seed sowing compost in March. Germination takes 10-14 days at 13-15C (55-60F).
Brussels Sprouts are a good source of Vitamin C and high in antioxidants.
