The first ever 'Crisp Everlasting' with pure white papery flowers, each with a contrasting yellow and black centre. This top quality selection offers grey-green foliage and long, strong flower stems, ideal for cut flower and border. Fleuroselect Quality Award.
To dry for winter use, pick when the foliage is dry and the flowers are well open, tie in small bunches and hang in a dry, well ventilated place until really dry.
Sow from March to early May on the surface of a good seed sowing compost. Germination takes 14-20 days at 18-25C (65-75F).
They can also be sown where they are to flower in April, 6mm (žin) deep, in moist, well raked soil and thinned out to 25cm (10in) apart.
When large enough to handle, transplant the seedlings to boxes or 7.5cm (3in) pots and grow on in cooler conditions. When well grown, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days and plant out during May after all risk of frost has passed 30cm (12in) apart in full sun and well drained soil.
