Sowing Instructions
Sow all seeds in February to April in one 7.5cm (3 inch) pot of seed compost. Press the pelleted seed gently into the compost and leave uncovered. Germination takes 10-21 days at 21-27C (70-80F). Don't exclude light, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful.
Growing Instructions
When large enough to handle, transplant the seedlings to boxes or 7.5cm (3 inch) pots. The different colours in the mixture may not all germinate at the same time so don't discard the seed container too soon. Grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days and plant out in late May-June, when all risk of frost has passed, 45-60cm (18-24 inch) apart in full sun and well drained soil. Plant 15-23cm (6-9 inch) apart in window boxes, baskets and containers in May, and allow them to become well established before moving outside.
