One of the most outstanding, uniform cut flowers. Blooms have a 'touch of red' giving an almost antique look. Height: 40-45cm (16-18in).
Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 65-70F (18-20C). Sowing Depth: Cover seed with its own depth of soil and exclude light. Sowing Time: Sow indoors March-April or sow outdoors April-May.
The seed can also be sown outdoors where it is to flower in mid spring.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out when all risk of frost has passed 30cm (12in) apart in full sun or part shade in ordinary garden soil.
