Hollyhock Peaches 'n' Dreams

An elegant, high quality border plant resulting from T&M's own breeding program. Tall, stately flower spikes packed with many fully double, power-puff blooms of peachy-cream, some with a tinge of raspberry-pink. Best grown in groups at the back of the border. Flowers mid to late summer. Height 1.5-2m. (5-6ft).

Hollyhock Appleblossom

Attractive, high quality flower spikes, packed with stunning, double, powder-puff blooms in delicate shades of apple-blossom pink. A class perennial, ideal for adding height and interest to cottage garden borders. Excellent for borders, especially planted in groups.

Aquilegia x hybrida Green Apples

The first green flowered Aquilegia with this spectacular Clematis-like flower formation. The buds open in a delightful lime-green shade, fading to a sumptuous apple-green before ageing to a gentle cream. Makes an interesting feature for borders.

Aquilegia vulgaris Miss M.I. Huish

A stunning introduction that produces clusters of double spurless, dark violet clematis-like flowers, on strong sturdy stems. Looks excellent grown alongside Green Apples making an interesting partnership for your borders.

Basil lettuce Leaf: Almost in appearance to a frilly- leaf lettuce. Short, robust plants with large leaves which have a sweet taste. Use with tomatoes, olive oil, onions and Morzorella cheese. Height: 20in.

Basil Cinnamon: Bushy, tall habit with a sweet, cinnamon spicy taste with a hint of cloves. Decorative purple flower spikes. Delicious in dishes with tomato sauce. Height: 24in.

Basil Greek: Compact dwarf plants with rounded foliage. Lots of white flowers in summer. Fairly strong flavour with hints of anise-clove. Use in salads. vegetable gratins and dishes with tomato sauce. Height: 4-6in.

Basil Purple Delight: Uniform plants dark purple leaves, compact habit and a good container plant. Full bodied, sweet yet very spicy flavour, superb for garnishing and flavouring. Height: 12-14in.

Basil Lemon: The typical Basil flavour is overshadowed by a wonderful aroma of sweet lemon. Delicious used with fish, peas and selected sweets. Height: 24in.

Basil Ararat: An old heirloom, distinct variety with dark green mottled foliage, seldom offered until recently. Fantastic aromatic, sweet and spicy taste. Height: 14-18in.

This rare white form of the ever popular Bat Plant offers shiny, dark green leaves and in 2-3 years when mature, magnificent white, green veined blooms with long tentacles. A thought- provoking plant for the home or conservatory.

In Malaya they call it the Devil's Flower and strange, fascinating stories surround it. Originating, no doubt, from the malevolent way the eyes in the bloom seem to be following your every move! It grows to about 2ft. in height with flowers complete with filaments or whiskers 12in. long forming a flowing forked tail.

Bean : Broad Bean Collection

Aquadulce Claudia

This variety is universally recognised as being best for an autumn sowing. It establishes itself very quickly and will produce a very early crop. It is white seeded and the pods are up to 15-18in long.

Imperial Green Longpod

15-inch+ pods with up to nine large beans. Succulent, tasty and suitable for freezing. (Green Seeded)

Express

This is the fastest maturing variety of any broad bean and an early spring sowing will out yield all others. Up to 34 good pods per plant! It is also winter hardy, outstanding for deep freeze as it does not discolour and probably for the same reason is particularly tender and tasty. It replaces Imperial Green Windsor over which it is a considerable improvement.

Fasold

An attractive Climbing Bean producing decorative mauve flowers which are followed by bumper crops of long, round, stringless mid green pods with superb flavour. Early cropping, the pods are slow to develop seeds, and the plants give a long harvest period. Can also be sown under glass for even earlier cropping.

Goldfield

Delicious, fleshy bright yellow broad, flat podded, stringless waxpod, 25cm (10 inches) long and 25mm (1 inch) wide. Good early plant vigour and early to pod continuing throughout the summer. Decorative in both flower and vegetable gardens. *CBMV resistant.

Mantra

An early prolific cropper, suitable for growing either under glass or outdoors. Producing sweet flavoured flat, mid green stringless pods up to 10in. long. Resistant to Bean Common Mosaic Virus.

Bean : Customer Favourite Collection

Climbing Bean Fasold - (top right) - Very early to crop, with a long harvest period and decorative mauve flowers. Producing a huge harvest of superb flavoured, long, fleshy, round, mid-green stringless pods that are slow to develop seeds. Its semi-climbing, less vigorous habit makes it ideal for growing under glass for the earliest crops.

Dwarf Bean Delinal - (lower right) - An outstanding variety for both crop and flavour. A 'filet' type with 15cm (6in) mid green, stringless pencil pods 8mm (1/3in) diameter. Delinel Bean seeds in the RHS Vegetable Collection have outstanding crops, and a long season if picked regularly. Bean Common Mosaic Virus and Anthracnose resistance. Black seeded variety. Height 45cm(18in).

Runner Bean White Lady - (left) - A premier variety in every way. The pure white flowers are less prone to being picked by birds, so the resulting crop is much greater. Plus, this variety sets better than any other when it comes to high temperatures. The long, mid green pods with white seeds hang in numerous clusters, and are both smooth and stringless. The result is a delicious vegetable which can be sliced or eaten whole with a garnish of butter.
