Runner Bean White Lady

A premier variety in every way. The pure white flowers are less prone to being picked by birds and set better during warm weather, resulting in a heavier crop of smooth, stringless tasty beans.

Dwarf Bean Delinel

A very-heavy cropping, French 'filet' type with 15cm (6in) mid-green, stringless, pencil thin pods with a unique texture and distinctive flavour.

Bean : Broad Bean : Crimson Flowered

A heritage variety with stunning crimson flowers, followed by a good crop of short, upright pods and delicious beans. Broad Bean Crimson Flowered is ideal for growing in containers as well as in the garden, or as an ornamental edible in the flower border.

Vicia faba. Compact, upright plant habit, and producing early setting of short, slender pods. Pick regularly for delicious 'mangetout' pods to eat raw or steamed, or allow pods to fill out with tasty small beans. Broad Bean Statissa is ideal in containers.

Phaseolus vulgaris. Sturdy, upright plants of compact habit producing beans high on the plant for easy picking and better quality pods as they do not touch the soil surface. Mid-green, round, slender, stringless pods. Dwarf Bean Bellini is superb for growing in containers or windowboxes.

This compact and disease-resistant bean is ideal for use in containers. The slender, straight, attractive, pale yellow pods of Dwarf Bean Concador are produced over a long picking period. Growing to about 12cm (5in) long, the pods are flavoursome and easy to pick. Resistant to bean common mosaic virus, anthracnose and halo blight.

Phaseolus coccineus. The bushy, dwarf plants of Dwarf Bean Bellini produce masses of red flowers which look stunning in a container, or direct outside, followed by short succulent beans. Pick regularly for a long season of harvest.

Bean : Runner Bean : Scarlet Empire

Bred from Scarlet Emperor, a kitchen garden favourite for over 100 years, Runner Bean Scarlet Empire produces a longer, smoother, more slender pod which are stringless, but is still as early, tasty and productive as its forebear. The plants are vigorous and quick to emerge - essential qualities for early sowings.

Bean : Runner Bean : St George

RHS AGM Winner, producing the heaviest yield of quality pods at the most recent Wisley Runner Bean trial. British bred bicoloured red and white flower, much earlier, heavier cropping with superior quality, smoother, fleshy, pale green 25-30cm pods when compared to 'Painted Lady'. The straight pods of Runner Bean St George have good 'snap' with little string or fibre if picked regularly whilst young.

Beet : Cardeal F1 Hybrid

Beta vulgaris var.conditiva. Easy to grow, Beet Cardeal produces golf ball sized, succulent baby beets with very sweet, smooth skinned rich red fleshed roots.
