Calendula officinalis Chrysantha

In the course of our travels to the various seed trial grounds around the world, we have rediscovered this heirloom variety, first offered by Thompson & Morgan in 1933 and a real breakthrough in Calendula breeding in its time. Bushy, freeflowering plants produce masses of gorgeous, double, citron-yellow blooms with long, wide, drooping petals resembling those of a Chrysanthemum. Chrysantha still has a place in the garden, adding height to borders, and as an individual cut flower. Height: 60-70cm (24-28in).

A Fleuroselect Bronze Medal winner, this easy to raise hardy annual will flower virtually all the summer. A wide colour range of fully double blooms with a compact habit of 30cm (12in) height by 23cm (9in) spread make this a superb bedding mixture.
