Pisum sativum. Dwarf, flat, broad-podded Mangetout, Pea Sugar Snow Green crops prolifically if harvested when pods are small and before seed development within the pods.

Pea Ambassador produces high yields of dark green medium-sized blunt pods, with 8-9 seeded pods. Reliable in all soils. Height to 75cm.

Pea Twinkle

Wrinkle - Second Early.

We believe Pea Canoe produces the most seeds in a pod. We have spotted many 11 and 12 seeded pods in the seed crop, but can you find lucky 13? This aptly named variety has long, slightly curved pointed pods similar to a canoe. Pea Canoe produces a heavy crop of pods, on semi-leafless, almost self supporting plants when grown in a block. Ideal for freezing and sure to be an exhibition variety of the future.

Wrinkle - First Early. New British breeding in small 'petit pois' peas, Pea Celebration produces small dark green peas which hold both their colour and superb taste after freezing. The taste is so good that most of your crop won't even reach the freezer! Plants of Pea Celebration are semi leafless and self-supporting if grown in a block. Height: 50-60cm (20-24in).

Pea : Garden : Dorian (Mr Big)

The eye-catching, long, broad and straight pods of Pea Dorian are filled with 8 to 10 large, tasty peas hence often known as 'Mr Big'. Pea Dorian is superb for the showbench, as well as the kitchen, producing a good crop of pods for picking over a long period. Prefers well-drained, moist, rich conditions. Height 75cm (30in). Good source of Vitamins A, C, B1 and folic acid. Peas also contain soluble fibre, useful in removing harmful cholesterol.

Pea : Garden : Endeavour

Main crop

Pea Endeavour is semi-leafless almost self supporting if grown in a block. Sow April-June to pick July-October. The long double 8 seeded pods of Pea Endeavour have an excellent flavour. Height: 65-70cm (26-28in).

Pea : Garden : Greensage

Maincrop. The gardeners' and exhibitors' favourite Greenshaft, has been crossed with a semi-leafless variety to produce the even sweeter tasting Pea Greensage. Curved pods over 8cm (3½in) long, averaging 8-11 peas per pod.

Pea : Garden : Half Pint (Mini Vegetable)

Pea Half Pint is a real 'Tom Thumb' for container growing on the patio or windowsill, as well as for sowing under cloches in the garden for an extra early crop. Being dwarf, only 30-37cm (12-15in) high and bushy means Pea Half Pint needs no support. Fun to grow in containers as an attractive and edible centerpiece on the dining table.

Outstanding pod length - 4 to 4½ inches, with 9-11 peas in a pod. Double podded too, Pea Hurst Green Shaft is a super heavy-yielding variety. Only 28 -30 inches tall, with all the pods in the top 10-12 inches - no more backache. A second early, wrinkle seeded variety, which matures in 100 days from sowing. Pea Hurst Green Shaft resists downy mildew and fusarium wilt. And the taste! Has to be eaten to be believed.

RHS AGM winner. Pea Kelvedon Wonder is resistant to Pea Wilt, tolerant to Downy Mildew.

Round (First Early)

Pea Meteor has a neat, dwarf habit producing an abundance of small but well-filled pods. Very good winter hardiness, even in exposed areas as a an autumn variety. Pea Meteor is better flavoured than the old variety Feltham First and ideal for that first dish of the season.

First Early.

Pea Misty is an outstanding variety, producing a heavy crop of 7-8cm (3-3½ inch) blunt pods, borne mainly in pairs against bright green foliage, filled with succulent tasty peas. Pea Misty flowers and sets pods over a very long cropping period.

A British bred maincrop, Pea Oasis produces a huge yield of double pods per node, averaging 8 to 9 succulent, dark green peas per pod. Resistant to pea wilt, Pea Oasis also has good downy mildew resistance.

One of the best cropping varieties in T&M trials, Pea Rondo produces rich green, straight, long pods containing on average 10 deliciously plump peas. Wrinkle (Main). Resistant to Fusarium Race 1.

Wrinkle (Early Maincrop). Another from the British breeding stable. Attractive, very dark green leaves highlight the paler pods of Pea Starlight, held out at an angle for easy picking. Mostly double-podded but some treble-podded per node containing tasty dark green peas. Pea Starlight has a high resistance to downy mildew.

Pick fresh, tasty peas early in the season with this quality, British bred variety. Enjoy trouble-free, bumper crops of Pea Twinkle thanks to its impressive Pea Wilt resistance and Downy Mildew tolerance. Perfect for successional sowing to give longer cropping period. Pea : Mangetout : Oregon Sugar Pod

This is surely the sensible way to grow and eat peas - no time consuming podding, no waste, just heavy crops of delicious, sweet and juicy pods of sugar-peas, often called 'Mangetout' or 'Snow peas'. Well flavoured and excellent for lightly steaming or stir-fries,. The pods of Mangetout Pea Oregon Sugar Pod are large and flat (4½ inches long by ¾ inch wide) and stringless when young. This is the way peas will be eaten in the future. It just doesn't make sense to go through the tediousness of discarding the pod if its so full of goodness and so delicious to taste.

Pea : Maro - Mushy Pea

The premier 'marrowfat' variety ideal for making ever-popular mushy peas. Harvest the pods when fully dry and mature and the peas are hard and firm. Peas can also be soaked for stews and casseroles. Pea Maro can also be eaten fresh when the pods are young. Although the peas are less sweet then most garden varieties they do have a distinctive more floury taste.

A fine quality Sugarsnap Pea with round, fleshy, pale green, sweet tasting, succulent pods. Sugarsnap Pea Sugar Ann is very early and heavy cropping. Ideal raw or in stir fries.
