Amberboa 'The Bride' is an easy to grow annual with large, sweetly scented flowers in purest white. This stunning white cornflower is perfect for cutting and makes a lovely plant for filling gaps in summer borders. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 30cm (12").

Amberboa resents root disturbance so it is best to make direct sowings. Sow amberboa seeds outdoors where they are to grow from March to April or from August to September for flowering the following year. Amberboa Choose a position in full sun on well drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow seeds thinly, at a depth of 6mm (1/4") in drills spaced 30cm (12") apart. Water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods. Germination usually takes 14-21days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to 30cm (12") apart.

Water regularly until plants are fully established. Deadhead faded amberboa flowers to prolong the flowering period.
